What is well-being?

Well-being includes feeling positive emotions, such as feeling happy and prosperous and not feeling negative emotions, such as depression and anxiety.

There are different aspects of well-being which include:

  • Physical well-being
  • Social well-being
  • Emotional well-being
  • Spiritual well-being
  • Occupational well-being
  • Intellectual well-being
  • Financial well-being
  • Environmental well-being


Creating balance in life is an important part of wellness. Balance means taking the time to do the things that make one happy.

Taking a few minutes to think about the way you feel can help lead you to areas of your life that need extra attention.
